Literature Searching

Save time and money by using the professional services of the Hanford Technical Library staff for literature and patent searches and analysis of the results. Using proprietary services such as STN International, Lexis-Nexis, as well as HTL-provided databases and other resources world-wide, staff can search for journals, conference proceedings, patents, newsletters, newspapers, technical reports, and other sources essential to your research.

Fee-Based User Search Services

The HTL staff administers several accounts for staff who wish to do their own online fee-based searching.

STN International (available to PNNL staff only)
The Chemical Abstracts (CA) family of databases, including the CA Registry file, allows searches of over 8 million substance records.

SciFinder (available to PNNL staff only)
End-user access to Chemical Abstracts. A "task" is only charged once so you can print all your references for one low cost.

You will be charged a yearly access fee and all search costs incurred during your search. To set up an account for any of these services, contact the Library Administration Office, (509) 372-7450.
