Library Services to Community Users - Individual & Business Accounts
Individual (Coming Soon!) and Business Accounts
The Hanford Technical Library (HTL) extends a broad range of robust services to the community through Individual and Business Accounts. By purchasing an HTL Individual or Business Account, you or your company will have borrowing privileges for materials in the library's circulating collections and you will be eligible to purchase the following services as you need them.
- Document Delivery: When materials are not available through the HTL collections, copies of articles, technical reports, conference proceedings, and dissertations can be located and frequently acquired by the HTL staff from other libraries or vendors worldwide. These services are provided in accordance with copyright laws and guidelines. See Interlibrary Loan (ILL) & Document Delivery Policies for more information.
Alternatively, anyone with a credit card can order materials directly from providers. See External Document Delivery Services for a list of vendors.
- Interlibrary Borrowing: Books, documents, and dissertations not available from the HTL collections can often be located by HTL staff and borrowed from other libraries. See Interlibrary Loan (ILL) & Document Delivery Policies for more information.
- Photocopying: HTL staff will photocopy materials from the Hanford Technical Library collections. Self-serve photocopying is also available. See Photocopying Policies for more information.
- Research Services:
- Literature Searching: Save time and money by using the professional services of the Hanford Technical Library staff for literature and patent searches and analysis of the results. Using proprietary services such as Dialog, STN International as well as HTL-provided databases and other resources world-wide, staff can search for journals, conference proceedings, patents, newsletters, newspapers, technical reports, and other sources essential to your research.
- Citation Checking: Hanford Technical Library staff are available to help you check the accuracy of the citations in your technical report, journal articles, conference papers, etc. whether it's one article or a list of thousands.
- Indexing: HTL staff are available to create indexes for your websites, books, or reports.
- Taxonomy Development: HTL staff can organize your information into topic categories that will make browsing and searching for information on your website or portal easier for your users.
- Research consultations provided by professional information specialists/librarians, include in-depth consultations, reference and research assistance.
