Interlibrary Loan (ILL) & Document Delivery Policies

HTL staff have expertise in obtaining books, journal articles, technical reports, conference proceedings, and dissertations from other libraries or vendors worldwide for PNNL staff and eligible Hanford Site staff. These services are provided in accordance with copyright laws and guidelines and are for work-related purposes.
AWU appointees and PNNL Fellows and Collaborators may request interlibrary loan and document delivery services, but they must be approved by their sponsor and include their sponsor's name, organization code and payroll number.
PNNL staff have a choice in document delivery options. Document delivery requests from all other eligible users from other Hanford contractors will be ordered from commercial vendors to ensure payment of approprate copyright fees. See Interlibrary Loan (ILL) & Document Delivery for more information.
ILL books often have very brief loan periods and lending libraries rarely allow renewals. Upon request, we will attempt to obtain renewals for items borrowed from another library. If renewals are obtained, we will charge an additional service fee.
