Background
The Hanford Technical Library is open to the public.
The Hanford Technical Library's primary purpose is to support the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory; the Department of Energy's Pacific Northwest Site Office, Richland Operations Office, Office of River Protection, and the prime contractors on the Hanford Site. Access to some resources and services is reserved for Hanford Technical Library's primary community. Co-located with Washington State University's Tri-Cities Max Benitz Library, the Hanford Technical Library also supports the WSU Tri-Cities teaching, research and scholarly activities.
The Hanford Technical Library is jointly funded by the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Washington River Protection Solutions, LLC , Fluor Hanford Inc., and Washington Closure Hanford.
Pacific Northwest National Laboratory's Hanford Technical Library is operated by Battelle for the US Department of Energy.
